Mixed Media Monday #6

Hello everyone – the Mixed Media Monday #6 idea was inspired by Vicky Papaioannau and a mixed media page she made for her art journal.
She used distress oxides which I don’t have and her page was a 6 x 6. I modified and used regular distress inks and my 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ art journal.
Today’s Project
I used the same colors Vicky used just the regular distress inks and not the distress oxides. After I created my background I used the similar products she has used but what I had in my stash. There are several products she feels a mixed media project needs. She feels it needs some stamping, some rub ons, and some punch outs. I shopped my stash and pulled from different companies to create today’s idea.

I had some PET tape that I used in the upper right hand corner. I cut it in half as it was a double filmstrip. I really like the look of the stamped image over the 2 colors of ink. I will be trying that again in the future.

I have used another stamp from the Penny Black set to make the decorative petal border on this card.

I am having fun with mixed media and learning a lot. I am finding I like certain elements from several people I follow and will be combining them to create my own style. The Mixed Media Monday #6 used ideas from a different person.
Have a Marvelous Monday!
