Technostamper – Easter chick

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Mine was good.  I spent some time playing and coloring.  I am enjoying the Coloring Challenge as it makes me pull out some of my supplies and play with them.

For the challenge today I pulled out my stencils and used markers to color them.  My goal is to use this as a background for a card.  The one on the left was my first attempt.  I used the brush tip of the marker and as you can see it did not work out.  I decided to try it again and used the writing tip.  The one on the right I traced around the stencil then scribble colored the inside.

Today is the sketch challenge at Technostamper.   

 When I saw the sketch I started thinking of what I could do that would be a little different.  I did not was to use flowers or butterflies as that would be the most obvious.  I started looking at my sets and it hit me why not use eggs and make an Easter card.  I pulled out the little chick and decided to stamp him inside the tag stamp in One Tag Fits All.  I added some texture using the chicken wire stamp.  I decided to use the hexagon embossing folder on the lower portion of the card front.  I wanted to keep the chicken wire theme going. 

I decided to also use the color challenge at Utah Divas International.

I thought the colors would be great for an Easter card for a different look.  Here is my version of Technostamper’s sketch and using the colors from Utah Divas International.
