Hello Stampers!
Ok, I have got to tell you a story. My faucet in my bathroom has been dripping for a while. I have the replacement pieces but just never fixed it. I think some of it was I was afraid I would mess it up. I live alone and often have to do things myself or pay someone to do it. Well last night it was running slowly so I knew I had to fix it. I started taking the faucet apart. I had all the pieces off but still needed to take off the stem. I was just getting ready to take it off when all of a sudden it blew off and water was gushing out. I quickly reached under the sink and turned off the water – something I did not know had to be done before you took the handle apart. I managed to get the entire stem off and the spring and stopper had been pushed out so I had no clue how they went in. I came out and opened up You Tube and found a video on how to do it. I went back in and got the pieces put in, the stem put back in and the bolt back on. I went to put the handle on and it would not fit on correctly. I had put the stem in wrong. I had to take it all apart and fix the stem. Once I did that I was able to get the handle on. I turned the water on and I had no drips and I had water from the faucet. Now I needed to do the other faucet. I was able to do the second one but again I had the stem in wrong and the handle would not fit on. So I had to take it apart and redo the stem. I finally got it all put together and turned on the water. Both faucets worked and there were no drips. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did it all by myself. I felt so proud.
Ok today is day 7 of the Color Challenge.
Today I decided to try a tutorial for making a background using our Blendabilities. It was interested and not hard but I am not sure I like the finished product when I looked at them. I used the lightest markers first and here are the results I got.
I decided to do it again but use the middle color marker. Here is what it looked like.
I used a purple, yellow, and green marker. To me the yellow seems to be too dominant. While thinking about this and composing my post, a few ideas came to me so I will play with it and see what I can come up with.
Ok, on to my card for today. Our challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color challenge.
I decided to use these colors with my Prismacolor pencils for one of the 30 Day Color Challenge. I stamped the images and used the pencils to color it in. I then used my Gamsol to blend the colors. After I had my images colored I needed to add something to the empty spaces. I decided to add one of the word framelits. Here is my card for the color challenge.
