The Paper Plunge – Paper Pumpkin variation

Good Morning Stampers!

Happy Friday the 13th!

Well I did get my vacuuming done yesterday.  I then went to the yarn shop as I had not been in 3 weeks due to the weather.  It was nice to  see my friend and do some knitting.  I have my cowl completed but need to graft the ends together.  Today I am hoping to work outside for a bit and work on my flower beds.  Then I need to clean up my stamp table.  It has stuffed piled on it from when I was running behind and just set stuff aside.  I need to  clean it up so I can get back to creating.  I will also spend some time doing my blog shares for the weekend.

Today is Day 10 of the coloring challenge.

Today my coloring was a finish of the one I started the day before.  I really wanted to see what it would look like finished.  I can’t wait to use this one on a project.

Are you ready to see the challenge this week at The Paper Plunge?  We have a fun one this week.
Do you get the Paper Pumpkin?  Well this week we were challenge to create a Paper Pumpkin variation.  I have to admit that I usually make one sample like the kit and then I use the rest of the supplies to create other ideas.  One of the ideas I ran across on some other blogs was to use the supplies for a 2 page scrapbook layout.  I like this idea as it shows how versatile the kit can be.  I decided it would be a fun idea to see if I could create a 2 page spread with the items in the March Paper Pumpkin.

I thought of using the sentiment from the kit “I’m just wanted to say'” and add “To Stinkin’ Cute”.  I took one of the accordion fold cards and stamped each panel with one of the shape images from the stamps included in the kit.  I then took one of the boxes and cut the 4 panels off and reattached them without the folds so it is basically flat.  I put the accordion folded cards into the box and added a velcro piece on the flap to keep it closed.  I had some Pool Party bakers twine that I tied the box like the directions in the Paper Pumpkin kit.  I cut 4 pieces of Pool Party card stock 4 1/4″ x 6 1/4″ for the 4′ x 6″ photos I would add to them.  I used 2 pieces of Daffodil Delight for the base.  I added the sentiment I had stamped and the photo mats.  I took one of the journaling cards from the Project Life line and mounted it on a piece of Pool Party.  I laid all the pieces on the base and it needed something else as it was  bare in spots.  I pulled out my gift bag framelits and cut a few heart strips and a couple of the bows.  I placed the pieces on the base and then decided to stamp some of the circle images on the pages.  I wanted some sparkle so I added a sequin in the center of each of the stamped circles.  I now have a 2 page spread to add some pictures of my 2 grand daughters.  Here is my creation.

Sorry the yellow is so bright.  I really wanted to have a Pool Party background but did not have those colors.

Now you will not want to miss what the other ladies created using a Paper Pumpkin kit to create a variation.  Head on over to the Paper Pumpkin blog to see what the other ladies created from one of their kits.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Wish me luck in getting everything done today I need to do.  Have a Fabulous Friday the 13th!
