Thursday Product Focus

Hello Stampers ~ The Thursday Product Focus this week is the Carried Away DSP.

Well I managed to get 2 cards made yesterday.  I still do not have my energy back and still have some stomach twinges.  I am trying to keep water in me on a constant basis which does help.  I did manage to eat some chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans last night so I am hoping that will help.

Today is Remi’s birthday!  I cannot believe it has been 2 years since she came into our lives.  She is such a delight!  We are doing a family party on Saturday so that will be the big day!

OK on to the hop.  You should have arrived here from Joni’s blog – Joni in the Spotlight Stamping.  I am sure she had a great project for you!

I wanted to highlight a couple of the patterns in the paper so I checked out my challenge blogs and found this great sketch at TGIF Challenges.

I looked through the paper and decided on the cloud pattern and the hot air balloon pattern.  Once I had my patterns I needed a sentiment.  I looked through my stamp sets and thought the one in Butterfly Basics was perfect.  I used the Mint Macaron card base as it matched the dsp.  I mounted the hot air balloon paper on Night of Navy card stock since it matched the paper.  I mounted this rectangle in the upper left hand corner like the sketch.  My sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy and then cut out with the Stitched Shapes framelits.  I cut a scalloped oval out of Night of Navy and mounted the sentiment on it.  Dimensionals were added and then the sentiment was attached to the card base.  Here is my completed creation.

Are you ready to see what Amanda at Our Crafty Playdate made using this paper?  Hop on over and check it out.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am making up a class I had to miss on Sunday this afternoon.  I am excited as this is one I have been wanted to take for a while.  Have a Great Day and give our Thursday Product Focus a try!
