Good Morning Ladies!
I had mentioned that I am in a group that is doing a virtual convention and that we are doing all kinds of things like we would do at convention. The organizers of the group thought it would be fun to do a blog tour. I decided to participate to join in the fun so you should have arrived here from Carolyn Sharkas’ blog – Inking The Night Away.
If you read my blog yesterday you saw that I was working on a new technique for my class coming up next week. I had a lot of practice pages so I decided to use one as a background for my card today also.
Our theme at VC Rocks was Color My World. We had to do some kind of watercoloring on our card. I looked through my catalog and thought it would be a good idea to use Fast and Fabulous as the stalk of flowers would be great to watercolor. I stamped them in Staz-On and then used my aqua painter and ink in the lid of the pad to color the flowers and stem. After it was dry I painted over the flowers with shimmer paint to give it some sparkle.
The background was made by rubbing the ink pad on my teflon pad and adding water in different ways. So this is stretching the idea of watercoloring but I think it counts. 🙂
Here is my creation.
inside of card – I used another piece of the practice paper from the technique
I hope you enjoyed my card today. And now it is time to continue on our blog tour. Your next stop is Shari Dudek’s blog Shari’s Stamp Pad. Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!
Robbie

I love your share of your new technique. Lovely cards.
I checked out your background technique earlier and loved it. I would say it most certainly qualifies for Color My World. Love the cards you made.
