Washi Tape Thanks

Hello Stampers – today I use some washi tape as an element to create a washi tape thanks card.

Well I missed the sunshine yesterday.  I thought it was supposed to be sunny and warm.  Did I miss that forecast.  It rained all day.  Did not matter as I spent the day working on my Summer Pocket Letter.  I need to have it ready to mail out and I got it finished.  I will share it when the person receives it.

Today I used the sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary

I thought the 3 horizontal elements would be perfect for washi tape.  I have a lot of it and love using it as an element on my card.  While I did do 3 horizontal strips of washi tape, I reversed the size as I wanted the green to be at the top.  I also stamped my flower and did some shaded coloring.  After I had it colored I cut it out and mounted it on my card.  I then stamped Thanks from the Tin of Cards set.  While stamping it I had some ink on my block that got on my card.  I decided to find a stamp set that I could use to hide the ink.  I found the perfect stamp in the October 2015 Paper Pumpkin.  I stamped it on a piece of Watermelon Wonder and cut it out.  I mounted it on top of the ink smear.  My card was complete!  Here is the finished creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am hoping the weather will be better today so I can go outside and work in my flower beds a little.  With all the rain we have had it should be easy to pull all the weeds!  I will also be doing some recording.  Have a Marvelous Monday and pull out your washi tape to create your own washi tape thanks card!
