Winter’s Walk

Hello Ladies ~ I don’t know about you but with all our snow a Winter’s Walk would be beautiful right about now.  It might be too cold but it would be beautiful!

I did not play in my craft room at all yesterday.  I relaxed in the morning and then went to a scrapbook class in the afternoon.  When I got home I wanted to watch the football game.  I will have to make up for it today.  I will be in there cranking things out!

Our theme for the Make My Monday challenge this time is

A Winter’s Walk

This challenge really had me thinking about how I could use the Woodland embossing folder.  I ran across a perfect sketch at Freshly Made Sketches

I took the embossing folder and on the back side, I used my ink pad and added Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz ink.  Paper was added to the opposite side and the folder was closed and then it was embossed.  When I took it out I had the trees embossed with the sky and ground lightly colored.  I pulled out my Subtles paper stack and chose a patterned paper in each color.  Strips were cut and then added to the left hand side.  This panel was added to my Pear Pizzazz card base.  I needed a sentiment so I looked at my Watercolor Wishes card kit stamp set and found one that was perfect.  It was stamped onto Very Vanilla and then mounted onto a decorative label punch.  The sentiment was added to the card using dimensionals.  Here is my completed creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Make sure you check out the other design team’s interpretation of A Winter’s Walk at Make My Monday challenge blog.  Have a Marvelous Monday!
