Happy Saturday Stampers – I am still playing with the class that I signed up a while ago and created the Anything Goes Saturday – page 1 of journal class page.

The first page uses some ink smooshing, splatters, and embossing paste to create the layout.

Today’s Project

I began by ink smooshing the background in several colors. Some splatters were added next. Pale images were added with stamping. Then texture paste was added . When everything was dry I pulled in some laser cut images to form a cluster. A butterfly and sentiment were added to finish off the focal image. I like the way Jamie designed this to show the edge of the back page to peak the interest in what could be on the page. Here is page 1 closed and opened so you can see the inside.

I have created several journals over the past few years. Here is one that is an easy idea. You don’t need fancy supplies to create a journal like this idea. It uses simple cardboard and pattern paper with rings for the binding.
