Blue butterfly for CutCardStock
Hello everyone – lots of interest on the Blue butterfly for CutCardStock idea. Several stencils were used as well as stamping for a fun idea.
I am having a great time with Jake. On Friday evening we went to his other grandparents house for their August Summer Nights dinner. On Saturday we went to the movies and saw Paw Patrol – Dino movie. On Sunday he had a play date at an indoor play area and then we took a walk on Balboa Island in the evening after dinner. On Monday we played games and cards. He is keeping me busy!
I had the rosette die from My Creative Time that I cut in half and used it to make a scallop strip. I also used a decorative panel die that I cut out smaller than the original die for the shape on the side of the card.
Today’s Project
To make this card I began by using a stencil to add a background on the white panel. I randomly applied ink to the stencil. I then used a die and cut out a shorter version of a decorative card front panel. I used the same stencil to add some ink across it. The rosette die was used as a strip down the left side of the card front. A label punch was used to add some more stenciling and then I stamped on top of it.
The butterfly was stamped and then fussy cut. I finished it off with some silver gems.
I used another stencil and an embossing folder to add interest and texture to this card. This card uses the center cut out of a die to create a focal image also.
