Beautiful Day with CutCardStock

Hello everyone – I decided to play with colored cardstock and some ink blending for today’s Beautiful Day with CutCardStock idea.

While I as Jess last month I used my press plates and created some images. I was playing with making them with a rubber mat rather than the Better Press machine. I chose one of those to use for today’s card.

Today’s project

I began by choosing colors to use with the stencils to color my image. I chose 2 pinks, 2 green, and a yellow. The tips of the flower were colored with the dark pink. Then, to add some interest I used the light pink to blend from the flower tip toward the center of the flower. Some yellow was added at the center and then a light green was added on top. The centers of the flowers were finished with the dark green. The leaves were blended with the light green and the highlight was added with the dark green. The image was then fussy cut.

I used the same yellow to add some design to the yellow cardstock with a stencil. A rub on sentiment that told my feelings when I had finished the card was added. For the pink cardstock I used my favorite crosshatch embossing folder to add some texture.

This card shows another idea for the embossing folder. The CutCardStock paper is great for blending ink like the background on this card.
