Mixed Media Monday #3
Hello everyone – I have the next Mixed Media Monday #3 to share with you today.
This week I thought I would try adding lots of layers to my page. I have a lot of ephemera from 49 & Market so I found some that would go with the colors of my watercolor background.
Today’s Project
After I watercolored my background I looked through my ephemera and picked out several pieces that I knew would go with the colors. I used Jamie’s recipe for paper clusters which made it easy to create the page. I pulled a flower stem, a frame, and 2 stickers. I based the ones I chose on the colors I used for the background. Then I layered the pieces on the page.
I had some fabric tape and when I looked at it there was the definition for Happy. I thought it would be perfect for the page. After I got all the pieces attached to the page it needed a sentiment. I used the rub on from Tim Holtz to add the sentiment.

Mixed Media doesn’t have to be hard. It also does not have to use dark colors. Here is an idea using pinks. This idea uses a lot of white with a pop of color for this mixed media idea.
