Botanical Builder Framelits

Hello Everyone ~ for our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop today, I spent some time playing with the Botanical Builder framelits.  Make sure you check out my card below.

Well yesterday I started walking again.  I used to walk 3 miles a day but had gotten out of the habit when Jess moved in.  I have a walking partner so I am sure I will be able to get back into the habit.  I so need this for my health and sanity.  I will keep you up to date on my progress!

Today is our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  We have a full hop this week!  Our colors were chosen by Sandy.

Stampin’ Up color matches

To design my card I wanted to use a sketch challenge.  I loved the sketch at Try Stampin’ On Tuesday so I decided to use it.

I wanted to use Early Espresso for the vertical strip.  I then figured the Mint Macaron would make a nice base and the other colors could be used for flowers.  I needed some way to address the horizontal strip on the left hand side of the sketch.  I was standing there thinking about it when all of a sudden I saw the leaf strip in the framelits.  I decided to use it.  Now that I had my base and the vertical strip completed I needed to make the flowers for the circle elements.  It was easy using the flowers in the Botanical Builder framelits.  I used the other colors from our challenge.  After I had my flowers added to my card I only needed the sentiment.  I chose to move my sentiment and add it in the space created by the leaf framelit.  Here is my completed card.

So are you ready to see what everyone else created using some or all of these colors?  Your next stop is Amanda’s blog – Our Crafty Playdate.  She always has some fun things to share with us.  Make sure you continue on down the line to see the other creations from the other ladies!

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be doing some video taping today if possible – depends on what Jess has planned for me!  🙂  Have a Wonderful Wednesday and if you don’t have the Botanical Builder Framelits make sure you order them!
