Sending a Smile

Hello Stampers – do you like sending a smile to someone?  Today’s card is one that would make anyone smile when they receive it!

Well I did not get any videos made yesterday.  I did however begin to clean out my flower beds.  I worked on them in the morning.  Then in the afternoon I cleaned out my closet and packed up lots and lots of my clothes and took them down the Methodist church.   Most of my clothes were professional clothes which I don’t need any more.  The Methodist church has a program where they work with Social Services and provide professional clothes to women trying to get their life back in order.  I know they will be put to good use!  It also feels good to clean out clothes I cannot use or wear any more!  I will be doing some more cleaning over the next few months.

My card today uses some of the new items in the catalog that goes live on June 1st.  I wanted to play with some of these things so I have some examples to share with my customers.  I began with the Playful Palette paper stack.  I chose one of the fun swirls in the stack.  I started with a rectangle that I cut on the diagonal.  I then did the same thing with a black rectangle.  I mounted the ds paper on the black.  I then added this to my card front layer.  I stamped my sentiment and mounted it on a piece of black card stock.  I added this over the ds paper using dimensionals.  I then chose some Perfect Pearls to add to the front of my card.  My card was complete!  Here is my finished creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be at the yarn shop this morning then I am hoping to fix my sister’s drawers for her cabinet.  Have a Great Day and plan on Sending a Smile to someone with a handmade card!
