Vellum Fun

Good Morning Ladies ~ today I am having some vellum fun on my card.

Well I have 3 days of walking!  I walked late last night after it cooled off a little.  I did not get to work in my flower beds as I had Remi while Zoie was at dance class.  I am going to try and work some more later this afternoon as it is not supposed to be as hot as it has been.  Then I will walk again later in the evening.  I have workshops this morning or I would walk early.  That will give me 4 days this week – I don’t walk on Saturday or Sunday.  Not bad for just starting this week!

Today I am playing along with the challenge at House of Cards.  We were to use vellum or acetate.

Create a card with transparent/semi-transparent papers~

I ordered the Affectionately Yours ds paper on my preorder.  I saw it on the flyer and thought it looked good.  When I got it, there are several papers in there that were just too bright for my liking.  I decided to use a layer of vellum from my Sale-abration stack on top to tone it down.  I did use my vellum tape but it still shows through.  I have never had that happen so I wonder if it is because it is older.  Anyone have any ideas?

After I have my base completed,  I needed to work on the elements for the front of my card.  I decided to use the Grateful Bunch and do a set of flowers.  I stamped the single flower on Watermelon Wonder and cut it out.  I then stamped the smaller flowers on the triple stamp with Watermelon Wonder on white and punched them out.  I stamped the leaf spray with Cucumber Crush and attached the flowers.  I used the Cucumber Crush marker and selectively inked the Thank You stamp.  I then stamped it and punched it out with my washi tape punch.  Here is my completed card.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be doing my Bags & Tags class today.  What is on your schedule?  Have a Fabulous Friday and pull our your bright patterned paper and have some vellum fun!
