Butterfly Window card for Sunday Ideas

Hello everyone – I have a fun way to use your rectangle dies with today’s Butterfly Window card for Sunday Ideas.
I love being inspired by other crafters and Melinda Stearns is one I get a lot of inspiration from. She posted this idea back in August of 2024 and I saved it so I could use the idea. Check out my card inspired by her below.
Today’s Project
This idea uses some scenic paper and if you are like me you have a variety in your stash. I went looking and found a paper that I thought would make a great card. I loved the butterfly scene on my piece of pattern paper so I decided to use that one. I checked my stash and I had some butterflies I had had for a while so I found one that matched the one on the paper. All that was left was to make the card.

I looked through my collection from Arden Creative Studios and loved the butterfly one so I chose to use that one. I strategically cut out the rectangle to include the butterfly and the leaves. I then used the rest of the paper and cut it down to make the layer behind my window. To finish it off some silver gems were added.

There are many ways you can add a window to your card. This one uses a punched circle. This one was a challenge but I got it figured out and love how the card turned out.
