CutCardStock Hello Friend Creation

Hello everyone – For Wednesday’s share I have a CutCardStock Hello Friend Creation.
I was inspired by a card I saw online and went looking in my stash to see what I had I could use to make mu version. I needed a swirl and some small flower dies and I was good to go.
Today’s Project
The original card had a dark shaped background with a border that mimicked the shape and some colorful flowers. I pulled out some Patriot Blue cardstock for my base. For my layer I used my Emerald Cut dies and then used the larger one to attempt to score in the shape. I could not get it to work so decided to use my metallic strips overtop the scored lines. It was a perfect solution to an idea that did not work out.

I added an embossed sentiment in the center of my shaped layer. All I had to do was add my spray and flowers. I love how the silver metallic strip mimics the die cut shape.

Swirls are great for layering your flowers on. This card uses the same swirl with some different flowers. A variety of shapes can be used for layers on your cards like the oval on this idea.
