Coloring Down the Lines – Different colors

Hello Stampers!

Wow yesterday was a whirl wind.  I had the retirement village ladies in the morning.  Then I had an acupuncture appointment midday.  I came home with all intents and purposes of spending the day in my craft room.  I started cleaning the bathrooms and then Jess had a conference call so she asked me to watch Remi.  After her call she had to go to the store and pick up Zoie.  I had Remi.  She slept some so I was able to go into my craft room for a short amount of time.  When she got back with Zoie I was able to again spend a little bit of time in my craft room.  When dinner was over she needed to go see her Grandmother who is in the hospital.  She took Zoie but I had Remi again.  She slept a little but then I moved her into the craft room and continued to work on my cards.  When Jess got back she took Remi and I was able to work some more in my craft room.

Today is the Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  This week Helen chose our picture.

I will be honest with you I did not know what I was going to do with these colors.  I don’t want to keep using Blushing Bride all the time.  I am not a fan of Pumpkin Pie nor Cajun Craze.  So I decided to color the flower with Pumpkin Pie.  I did not like the looks so I added some Real Red.  That looked bad so I colored the entire flower over with the red.  So now I have a mixture and not sure what color it is.  I think it looks good but you will have to tell me what you think.  Here is the flower I created using the color challenge.

I totally forgot to take my picture before I cut it out.  Now that I have the flower cut out, I wanted to mount it on an oval.  I tried Pumpkin Pie but did not like that.  I tried red and did not like that.  I put it on white and decided to go with that.  Now I have the focal point so I had to create the card.  I pulled out the Pumpkin Pie again and decided it looked good on that now so I added a layer of Pumpkin Pie that I embossed with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder.  I then added some Painted Blooms cotton twine (love this twine, it is so soft and easy to work with) and mounted it on my card base.  Here is what my final card looked like.

I know you are wondering what the other ladies did with these colors.  Hop on over to Amanda’s blog – Our Crafty Playdate to see what she created.  Make sure you leave her some love!
Thanks for visiting me today.  I don’t have a lot going on today so I am hoping to really spend a lot of time in my craft room.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
