Happy Saturday Stampers – Birch Press Design is the sponsor at the Die Cut Divas new challenge.

This month we are using Birch Press Design products to create a white on white with a splash of color idea. Play along and you could win a $20 gift card. This is open to US residents only.

Today’s Project

I had the Butterfly Basics layering dies that I knew I could use as my splash of color. A friend sent me the String Art Frame and I knew it would be great as the background for the white on white portion. I added the string art frame to a panel and then added it to the card front. I originally was going to make my butterfly a monarch but when I started playing with the pieces and how it went together I knew it wouldn’t work. I pulled out 2 shades – a light and a dark – from the same color family and that worked better.

After I finished the butterfly it needed something so I pulled out my silver gems and added them. Look at the string are frame. The cutting is great and it really looks like string art.

I don’t have any other Birch Press Design products. I have used white with a pop of color for other cards. In creating other cards I also included black like this fun idea. You can also use some of your black and white paper with a pop of color for a quick and easy idea.
