Hand Stamped Birthday

Hello Everyone!

Well I spent yesterday morning raking the grass in my yard.  Jess’ father-in-law got our lawn mower working on Sunday and actually cut the grass also.  We did not expect him to cut the grass but he did and afterwards we had a ton of grass clippings.  I had to get them off my lawn or it would kill the grass.  After about 10 wheelbarrow loads it was done.  Needless to say I am a little sore today!

After the raking I had to make a card for tomorrow, cut my card stock for my workshop this week, and make my gift for the ladies who are coming.  I got it all done and I am ready for my ladies today.  I will share the cute gift I made for my ladies later this week after all my workshops are over.  You are going to love it!

Today is the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.  Our challenge this time is a color challenge.

Aren’t these colors fabulous?  I loved them.  I thought I would use the Smoky Slate as a background.  Rather than emboss the panel I decided to do some sponging using a mask.  I used the diamond pattern one from the Happy Patterns decorative masks and sponged on some Smoky Slate.  When I was happy with the look, I was ready to put my card together.   I punched my flowers and stamped them with the grid pattern using the Timeless Textures stamp set.  I put the Blackberry Bliss flower together using dimensionals.  Before I put the scalloped circle flowers together, I used my paper snips to cut in between the scallops just a bit.  I then curled the edges and pulled up on them to give them some texture.  I added a strip of the Pool Party ribbon and then my flowers.  The only thing left was to add my sentiment.  Here is my final creation.

Make sure you head on over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog to see what the other ladies created using these colors.  We would love to have you play along with us!

Thanks for visiting me today.  It will be a busy day for me today with my workshops and then an online class tonight.  What are your plans for today?  Have a Terrific Tuesday!
