Handmade Encouragement Card

Handmade Encouragement Card

Hello Everyone – I used the Counting Sheep stamp set and Sheep dies for the perfect Handmade Encouragement Card.

I wasn’t sure what to do for today’s card. I looked at the sentiments and an idea came to me. I thought it would be fun to take the sentiment “Anything is possible” and use the sheep looking like she was jumping over the fence. Now that I had my design, I needed a background.

Since there would a sheep and fence on my card front I opted to blend on an outside field. Using a post-it note the grass was sponged on first. To add the light at the horizon I flipped the post-it note around to cover the grass and added a small strip of yellow. The sky was sponged on all the way down to the yellow. I went as close as I could as I knew blue and yellow would make green and I did not want that.

All that was left was to add the fence and place the sheep to look like it was jumping over the fence. The sentiment was stamped on the panel which was flagged on the left hand side. To finish off the Handmade Encouragement Card some retired gems were added.
