Hello Everyone!
After the heat of Tuesday, yesterday was chilly. The temperature was about 90 on Tuesday and yesterday it was in the 70’s. I was ready to pull out a sweatshirt and put on some socks. It is supposed to be this temperature through the weekend so I may be readjusting my wardrobe for the next few days.
When I needed a card for today I was working with a limited time frame as I had about a half hour to work with. I went looking at my sketch challenge blogs and when I saw the inspiration photo at Just Add Ink I fell in love with the leaves in the picture.
After seeing this, I knew I wanted to use this idea for my card. I went looking through my stamp sets as I have several that have a leaf spray in them. I decided to use the one in Summer Silhouettes as it reminded me of the ones in the picture.
Next I needed to choose my colors. When I looked at the picture I saw Coastal Cabana and Island Indigo. I decided to use those. I inked up my first stamping with the Coastal Cabana and then tapped Island Indigo ink to the edges of the stamp. I cleaned my stamp and then inked it up with Island Indigo. I off stamped the image and then stamped my image onto my card front. The last stamping I inked the stamp with Coastal Cabana and off stamped it then inked the edges with Island Indigo. I liked what I had so I stopped. I was trying to decide on a ribbon but then decided to use some silver thread and make a multi loop bow. All I needed was my sentiment and I was done. Here is what I created.

I thought I would include an explanation of the process I used to create my card. Did you like this? Let me know and I will do it more often.
Thanks for visiting me today. I will be working on some design commitments as well as my cards for our Sending Kisses kit today. What plans do you have? Have a Great Day!

Funny, the first thing I noticed was the leaves as well, and had to force myself ( not hard!) to look at the over all picture…you rocked the leaves….which stamp did you use? Love the colors and of course how CAS it is, the silver loops is the perfect addition! We have yummy looking rain clouds but doubt we will get anything….the weather folks are saying 1/4 – 3/4" …..ha! Still hoping there will be enough to water a few plants and chase the dust off of my car!
Yes, I like it when you describe the process. Every once in awhile I'll wonder how a stamper did something, and when they haven't posted an explanation it is totally frustrating!
