Mixed Media Monday #14 – Unity stamp idea
Hello everyone – I used a few ideas from previous makes to create today’s Mixed Media Monday #14 – Unity stamp idea.
This week I was chosen to be the Growing in Unity Girl. All week long I will be sharing ideas I created using Unity Stamp Company products.
Since I usually do a mixed media idea on Monday’s I thought I would use some Unity products for today’s make.
Today’s Project
I wanted to use a stamp set and coordinating paper from Unity. I have limited paper until my order gets here so I chose to use the Barnyard Bouquet pattern paper and the coordinating stamp set Impeckable Silhouettes for today’s idea. I created my background using ideas from other mixed media plays. I added some splatters with a stamp and the stamp set had some chicken feet in a line that was perfect for adding along the edge. I then layered on my pattern paper. I shopped my stash for some ephemera that would go with the chicken theme. Here is my final creation.
I used a postage stamp punch to create the chicken wire element. I added some gold thread behind it. I also found an old fashioned wheelbarrow in my stash so I added it.

I got this stamp set in honor of my mother. She collected chickens. Here is a card where I used the same image for these ideas. The images in this stamp set is perfect for the kissing technique. I used that idea and the images to create this card.

I used some ink smooshing for the background of my Mixed Media Monday #14 – Unity stamp idea today. I still need to work on that as I am not getting the effect I want.
