Oval Magnolia idea
Hello everyone – I am playing with the magnolia collection from Unity Stamp Co and created the Oval Magnolia idea to share with you today.
Playing with a collection of products allows you to create different ideas using the same products. By using the products several times makes sure you use up your supplies in a timely manner.
Today’s Project
I purchased the magnolia supplies on the idea I would do an in person class with it. Unfortunately the paper pad only has 3 sheets of each pattern which doesn’t work for my class. I decided to use the products and play with them this month to use up some of the paper. The stamp is very large and I wanted to use it in a smaller way, so I inked up a section of the stamp and stamped it onto white cardstock. I used my oval dies to cut out the stamped image. I also used the next larger scalloped oval to cut out a mat for the image. I chose one of the flower images to create a layer for the oval. The green watercolor paper was a perfect background so I mounted it onto a green cardstock and then onto my card base.
Some gold gems adds a little bit of sparkle. It needed a sentiment so I looked in my stash and found a small one I could use. After I stamped it with green ink I punched it out with a squatty oval punch and added it to the lower left hand corner of the oval
