Happy Chilly Morning to Everyone ~ Well I am sure we will have Snow Fun soon but right now the storm is up north and blasting the area!
I had a full schedule yesterday. I had a massage, then I had a workshop. After that I went for my walk and then managed to make a card for tomorrow. The day flies by when I have a full schedule.
I ran across a card I saw in Jennifer McGuire’s videos that I want to see if I could do it using our supplies. I did modify her idea a little. This is actually the second card I did using this idea. I will share the first one – that used her idea as she did it – later this week.
The CAS Colours & Sketches has a fun color challenge this week that was perfect for what I wanted to do.
I began with a panel of Whisper White card stock. I used the Softly Falling embossing folder and using the raised side I applied my Versamark ink. I then stamped it onto the white and heat embossed it with Clear Embossing powder. I was ready to add my ink. I began with the Soft Sky Ink and applied it with a sponge in the lower part of the front layer. When I was happy with what I had I then used the same procedure to apply Marina Mist ink. The final color was Night of Navy. After I had all my inks applied I added more ink where I felt it needed it. Because I had embossed the dots from the embossing folder, it resisted the ink. When I had all my ink on the paper I used a soft cloth to wipe over the dots and remove the ink from them. That left them white so it looked like snow falling. I used the retired Seasonal Frames Thinlits dies to cut out the word “Snow” I added dots of glue to the back to attach it to my card. The word “fun” comes from the Thoughtful Banner stamp set. It was stamped in Night of Navy ink. I punched a snowflake from Soft Sky card stock and used the Wink of Stella glitter pen to color the snowflake. I attached it to my card base using glue dots. To finish off my snowflake I used one of the retired Frosted Finishes Embellishments in the center to give it some bling! Here is my completed creation.

Thanks for visiting me today. I have an appointment today and this evening I have my Bags & Tags class. I will also be working on some things for my blog. Have a Terrific Tuesday and what would Snow Fun look like to you?
