Some Fairy Magic: Create a Fancy Fold Card with Pretty Pattern Paper

Happy Friday Stampers – a fun pop up is the key feature of Some Fairy Magic: Create a Fancy Fold Card with Pretty Pattern Paper creation.
Did you ever see a card you wanted to make, made it, and when it was done it hit you that there is a design flaw? That is what happened when I sat down to write this blog post!
Today’s Project
Today’s card was on a reel I wanted and I loved it as it had an easy pop up. The card was a square card so I had to do some refiguring as it was in centimeters. I got it all figured out and since it ends up to be 5 1/4″ square I will have to find an envelope to put it in. I wanted to use the fairy ephemera I got yesterday so I #Shopyourcraftstash to find some paper that would go with it. I found a pretty paper in a collection from Carta Bella. I chose to use a piece that had a pattern in the upper right hand corner that also had an all over pattern that went with it. I loved the finished card but realized the card has a design flaw as the only way for the pop up to work is for the recipient to pop it up when they take the card out of the envelope. Oh well I still like the final product.

The image in the upper corner is a beautiful Christmas flower bouquet. I loved it and it also had an all over pattern that coordinated with it that I could use for the pop up. The fairy I chose to use with the card was a cute little girl sitting on a package. I added some holly leaves and berry branches I had glittered from my stash.
