Stampin’ Up Amazing Silhouettes Birthday
Hello Everyone – are you ready for an idea for stamping on dark cardstock with my Stampin’ Up Amazing Silhouettes Birthday creation?
Another technique for using dark cardstock is to stamp it and emboss with white. I used that idea for today’s card.

I paired the stamp set with the Greenery embossing folder. The one with the leaf sprays is perfect for this image. I also used some Evening Evergreen ink and swiped the pad across the embossing to highlight the embossing.
I used the same image and some Evening Evergreen ink to decorate the inside of the card and envelope.
This is my first time playing with this image in the set. I did use one of the other images for this card. I have some other ideas I want to try so will be seeing what else I can do with it.

Card Base: Evening Evergreen5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
Granny Apple Green Layer: 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″
Image Layer: Evening Evergreen 3″ x 3″
Sentiment Layer: Evening Evergreen 1/2″ x 2″
Let’s Make It!
- emboss the card front using the Greenery embossing folder
- use the Evening Evergreen ink pad and lightly swipe across the embossed images adding color to highlight the embossing
- ink the image using the Craft ink pad and stamp it onto the Evening Evergreen panel
- add white embossing powder and heat the powder to melt
- color in the leaf area using a Granny Apple Green pencil
- attach the embossed panel to the Granny Apple Green panel
- use dimensionals to add the image panel to the center of the card front
- stamp the sentiment using the Craft ink on the thin strip of cardstock
- add white embossing powder and heat the powder to melt
- use dimensionals to add the sentiment panel to the center of the card front
- add the sentiment to the lower right hand corner using dimensionals
- sprinkle on some Brushed Metallic adhesive backed dots
