Hello Everyone – I don’t use dark cardstock as much as I would like so today’s card, Stampin’ Up Nature’s Harvest Gold Embossed creation, uses black cardstock for the entire card.

I am so excited the Stampin’ Up Nature’s Harvest set carried over. I have used it a number of times. On this card I have colored the image using markers. The image is also great for coloring in like I did on this card.


Stampin’ Up Nature’s Harvest information

Measurement

Card Base:  Basic Black 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
Layer:  Basic Black 3 1/2″ x 5″

Let’s Make It!

  • emboss the card front using the Brick & Mortar embossing folder
  • use a gold ink pad and lightly swipe across the embossed image to highlight the bricks – Note – if you do not have a gold ink pad, use a Versamark pad and emboss with gold embossing powder
  • wipe the black layer with an Embossing Buddy to prevent stray gold flecks from sticking – Note this is a critical step and should not be skipped or you will have stray embossing on your panel
  • stamp your image on the black layer in the lower left hand side using gold ink pad or Versamark, add embossing powder on top
  • use your heat tool to emboss the image
  • wipe the excess Embossing Buddy powder off with a cloth or paper towel
  • stamp your sentiment using gold ink pad or Versamark, add embossing powder
  • use your heat tool to emboss the sentiment
  • tie gold twine around the lower portion of the panel centering the bow over the stems of the flower
  • add dimensionals to the back of the black panel and attach to your card front centering it side to side and top to bottom
  • don’t forget to send your beautiful card to someone!
