Stampin’ Up Splendid Day in Coral
Hello everyone – lots of layers make the Stampin’ Up Splendid Day in Coral creation interesting.
Today’s card is not my normal style. There are lots of layers in many different directions. I don’t usually do that but this one works because it is monochromatic. The touch of foil gives it the bling that I love to add to my cards.
This suite has beautiful soft colors and the foiling adds the bling to take your cards up a notch. The beautiful soft colors allows a variety of cards.
With all the patterns on this card I felt it needed a focal point to tone it down some. I chose to use the bee in the stamp set for that focal point.
The solid image is the perfect stamp to decorate the strip and background. It is the perfect image to offset all the open images.
The soft colors in the pattern paper are fun to play with. This card uses the same pattern paper in today’s card for another monochromatic idea. This one uses one of the Fresh Freesia papers for a soft purple card.
What is your favorite color for monochromatic cards? There are so many to choose from I have a had time choosing just one.
