Stampin’ Up Tartan Foil
Hello everyone – with my love of plaid I had to play with the Stampin’ Up Tartan Foil dsp for today’s card.
Playing with patterns is a fun way to create your cards. I love dots, stripes, and plaids and often mix and match them. There is a fun fall plaid pattern in the online exclusives that I just had to play with for my card. I began with the World Card Making Group’s 2 day event sketch #2 for the layout. I then paired the Pebbled Path with Boho Blue for the leaf and love how it turned out.
This fun paper comes in 3 great Fall Colors – Copper Clay, Lost Lagoon, and Pebbled Path. I love the subtle shine it has. Check out this paper for a fun pattern to play with.
To color the leaf, I inked it up with Boho Blue and then used my mini cube to stamp some Pebbled Path in random areas. Love the look I got. This set does not have a die so I fussy cut the other leaf out.
I thought the Pebbled Path dots would be perfect for a but of interest. Remember to add them in odd numbers. I also used the same technique of coloring the stamp set to stamp the inside of the card and envelope.
The Inked and Tiled stamp set is one of my favorite to create with. Here is a masculine card idea using the same stamp. And this image made a fabulous Christmas card I used to create this idea.
