Sunday Ideas – pattern paper with the blackout technique
Hello everyone – I have the twist I mentioned 2 weeks ago with the Sunday Ideas – pattern paper with the blackout technique.
I had this video all ready to go last Sunday but on Saturday I lost my internet. The line got cut and I did not get it back until Tuesday. This is another twist on the blackout technique and this one is fun and easy.
Today’s Project
This idea was another one Heidi the Yorkshire Crafter shared and I have a lot of pattern paper so I wanted to give it a try. I had ordered a seashell embossing folder and had some beachy paper that I wanted to try it with. The key is getting the paper in the folder correctly so the debossed side is the one you want to apply your ink to – ask me how I know! lol After I got my panels embossed I chose the background color that enhanced the pattern paper. Check out the 3 cards I made using this technique.

The coordinating ink color to the pattern paper makes the embossed images on the pattern paper stand out. I had some beach sentiments I used for the cards. I finished the cards off with some gold gems.
