Mixed Media Monday #4

Hello everyone – time for another Mixed Media Monday #4 share!
I was in a blue mood for this one and used 3 shades of blue along with some rub ons and a sticker.
Today’s Project
I had watched some videos by Vicky Papaioannau where she created mixed media pages for her art journal. She had used paint as a background on her page and added stamping and other ideas. I did not have paint so I decided to use ink blending. I wasn’t happy with the fact that you could see all the blobs from the blending tool. Vicky will sometimes use a baby wipe to apply her paint so I wondered what would happen if I used the technique with ink. I was pleased with the how it hid some of the blobs. I will be using this idea again!

I used a stencil to randomly add some ink on the page in several spots. Then some stamping was added in the top right and bottom left of the page. I pulled in a blue rub on to add in the lower right corner. I had some butterfly stickers that were blue so I added one in the center of the page.

I used Colorbursts for this mixed media idea. This mixed media idea uses hair gel to create an underwater scene.
