Sweet Buttercups for Sunday Idea

Sweet Buttercups for Sunday Idea

Hello everyone – another technique from years ago was used to create the Sweet Buttercups for Sunday Idea.

I can’t remember the last time I have used this technique so I knew it would be a good one to share with you. I am not always in the mood to color my image so this idea is a fun way to add color to your images.

Today’s Project

To do today’s technique I wanted a large image. I search my stash and came up with the Altenew Sweet Buttercups. The key is having an image that does not have a border of stamp material around the outside. I had a lot so had to do some stamp surgery and trim mine down. The other tip I can give you is to try and use a stamp that is symmetrical. I chose to do a simple card to focus on the image and technique.

I used some ink blending around the edge to add some interest. This is a great technique to use when you have a clean and simple card. I finished it off with some gold gems.

Here is another image that was colored with a stamp. If you are not comfortable using your stamp to color the image you can use some ink blending like the image on this card.
