CutCardStock Just a Note

Hello everyone – Today, I have a bright colorful card to share with the CutCardStock Just a Note idea.

Bright bold colors make great cards that bring a smile to the recipient’s face. Colorful cards are so cheery and today’s idea makes me smile every time I look at it.

Today’s Project

I was inspired by a card by Sandi McIver I saw online. I loved the bright bold colors and knew CutCardStock would have some great choices I could use to make my version. The turquoise background was created using strips of Surf cardstock. This cardstock has a slight texture to it which adds interest. Then using some starburst framelits I cut out 3 circles in different shades of purple. I added some leaf die cuts in the same shades of purple and included some green leaves.

I was worried the textured cardstock would not stamp well. I tried it on a scrap of the Surf cardstock before adding it to my card. It stamped beautifully. To finish off the leaf spray I added some white twine with silver thread woven into it.
