Hello everyone – A Spooktacular Mixed Media Adventure: Spider Web, Haunted House & Ghosts is my last Halloween mixed media idea.
I have enjoyed making these mixed media ideas this month. I love crafting for Halloween so I have loved stretching my skills. I am not sure what I will be doing next month so wait and see!
Today’s Project
Today’s project began with the large word. I based everything around the word. I chose a large rub-on as the background. I then stamped the word using my Memento Tuxedo Black. I discovered that ink does not stamp well on rub-ons. I guess it has a slick surface the ink won’t stick to. I ended up smearing it. I took a Sharpie marker and filled in the parts of the word that did not stamp well. The haunted house is one the laser cuts from the Wicked Woods collection.
The side element is also a rub-on from the collection. You can also see how the word smeared and how I attempted to fix it with the marker. Those ghosts were a die from the Spellbinders 13 Days of Halloween.

Here is another mixed media idea that has a lot of layers using laser cuts instead of rub-ons. Don’t have rub-ons, use stamps, ink, and watercolor to get the same look.
