Anything Goes Saturday – the last mixed media page
Happy Saturday stampers – there was one more page int he journal that was blank and was left for the Anything Goes Saturday – the last mixed media page.
I was nervous about this page as it was already in the book. I took my time and combined the idea for he page along with some ideas for another page to make my own page.
Today’s Project
Mint tape was used to block off a border all the way around the page. A light ink was blended onto the page. Then some ink was added using an acetate sheet. Some splatters were also used to add interest in the corners. For texture a stencil and texture paste were spread on the top and bottom corner. Since the page was visible when you opened the journal I didn’t want the plain white edge showing. I added some pattern paper down the side so it was what you see when you open the book.
To finish the page a filmstrip was sponged with ink and added. The 3″ x 4″ journal card was attached using foam adhesives. To finish it off some leaves and a butterfly was added to the left side of the journal card.

I felt so much more confident with page since I had created several others over the past few week. The Anything Goes Saturday – the last mixed media page was a great addition to the journal.
