Halloween night for CutCardStock
Hello everyone – I was going for a Halloween night for CutCardStock idea but not sure it turned out like the picture I had in my head.
I knew I wanted to use the witch’s hat and the spider web but wasn’t certain how to tie them all together. I thought a night sky would set off the web and hat.
Today’s Project
I began by punching a circle from post-it note paper and added it to a white cardstock panel. I then sponged on some purple ink around the circle. When I had the outline of the moon I removed the circle and used yellow to blend on the circle. I put the post-it note back on and finished sponging the purple ink background. I kept the ink dark around the circle and slowly blended it out to be lighter at the bottom. Now I was ready to add the die cuts.
I had a fun spider web and I cut it out of black. It was added at the upper left so it looks like it is shining in the moonlight. I went for some bright orange and green for the trim on the witch’s hat. It was added at the bottom as the main focal piece.
I had a stamp set and punch for a witch’s hat and made this idea using it. Here is another card made using a spider web doily that is very fancy.

I have always love witch hats for my Halloween crafting. This hat is large and perfect for the focal point of the Halloween night for CutCardStock.
