Halloween Flowers for CutCardStock
Hello everyone – what do you do if you want to send a friend a card for Halloween but not use the images associated with Halloween, Halloween Flowers for CutCardStock to the rescue!
I love making Halloween cards but every once in a while I need a card but don’t want to use the normal images you would use for it. Pull out your flower dies and use Halloween colors to make a more adult card.
Today’s Project
I like sharing different ideas for the holidays to give you some ideas. I have shared a clean ands simple card and a treat holder so I wanted to have something for an adult. I opted to make some Halloween flowers and design my cards using those. I began with a rub on from Wicked Woods of some paint strips of color and added them on the left side of my top panel. Next I pulled out a flower die set and cut out the flowers using oranges and purple. The flowers were open outlines so I mounted them onto a coordinating color to have them stand out on the background. When I laid the flowers on the panel to determine the placement it was missing something it was too bare. I pulled out a speckle stamp and created a background.
I pulled in some tickets from the Wicked Woods laser cuts to add behind the top flowers. It still needed something so I used a black spider web from my stash to add half of it at the top. I finished it off with some black gems.
Here is another card I used the spider web on so you can see it. Here is an idea I shared for a simple idea that uses basic shapes and Halloween die cuts.
