Mixed Media Monday #5

Hello everyone – I chose to use some pattern paper for the Mixed Media #5 project today.
I wanted to use the pattern paper that will be in my card kit this month for today’s project. I love this watermelon paper and enjoy using it on my projects.
Today’s Project
I couldn’t avoid playing with that bright watermelon pattern paper again. I thought it would be fun to use it for a mixed media project. I used my art journal and based the size of the pages on that. I chose the seed paper as I love it and paired it with the gingham check pattern. When I added the paper to the page I was off by just a smidge. I chose a strip of white cardstock to cover the space. I could have easily used another pattern from the collection. I loved the sheet of gnomes in the collection so I chose one to fussy cut. She was lost on the page so I added her to a doily so she would stand out.

I used one of the ephemera pieces from the collection and one from a sheet I created for the kit and added some Glossy Accents to make the fruit shiny. That little girl gnome was so cute I knew she would be perfect for the page.
