Hello Everyone – I have a pretty card for you with a simple layout and Pitch Black from CutCardStock is a great accent to showcase it.

I love using black as an accent so it was the first choice for today’s idea. I love the way black makes the card pop.

Today’s Project

Black, white, and another color with a simple layout is a great way to make a card. I chose an aqua shade as the other color and I think it has a tropical vibe. The aqua cardstock has a texture to it on one side and smooth on the other side. I used the texture side for today’s card. The leaves were cut with the same aqua as the background. You could easily cut them with white or black. A tag die was used for the base of the flowers.

The flowers and leaves were from 2 different die sets. I love the look they create – light and airy. Lots of black gems were used to add interest.

The flowers are a favorite of mine. I used them for this card and did some ink blending to color them. The leaf die is one of my favorite dies to use for cards. I used it on this card with some other dies to create a leaf cluster.
