Simple Christmas idea for CutCardStock
Hello everyone – I had some scraps of pattern paper and went looking for a layout where I could use them and created the Simple Christmas idea for CutCardStock idea.
I pulled out my Christmas embossing folders and began with the tree one. From there I went looking for a simple layout I could use along with my paper scraps.
Today’s Project
I chose my 2 strips of paper and found a green cardstock from CutCardStock that went with them. I used the tree embossing folder to emboss the green cardstock. I wanted to highlight the trees so I took a green mini ink cube and ran it over the trees. When I put the 2 paper strips on the card they were lost on the background so I decided to add a gold foil background layer for them. Tip – if you don’t have a die long enough for your background, do a partial cut, take the die and shift it down until it locks into the already cut section. Run this trough your die cutting machine making sure you do not cut the one end of the die on the side that was cut first.
I had the perfect sentiment for the stocking pattern paper that I stamped and die cut with a banner. To finish off the card I added some gold gems.
I have used CutCardStock for many of my Christmas cards. They have great reds for your Santa card like this one. I love how my favorite white is perfect for embossing like the background on this idea.
