Happy 4th of July – some exciting news about the Stampin’ Up Splendid Day Bundle Mega Tutorial today!

I played with this suite of products and fell in love with the foil pattern paper and leaf spray images. Add to the suite some Soft Sea Foam seam binding and some gold metal open leaf trinkets for gorgeous products to use in your paper crafting. I used the Fresh Freesia pattern paper to create this clean and simple card.

Since this is a new suite I have not played with it until now. Check out these ideas that also use the Fresh Freesia color. You could easily recreate this card using the images in the stamp set and using pattern paper in place of the ribbon. Swap out the pattern paper for this idea and you have another idea easy to make.

Card Base:  White 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
Fresh Freesia:  2 3/8″ x 4″
White:  1″ x 2 1/2″
Splendid Day pattern paper:  1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and 1 1/8″ x 2 5/8″ – I used the Fresh Freesia foil pattern and 3/8″ x 5 1/2″ – I used the Fresh Freesia tone on tone pattern

Let’s Make It! 

  • fold and burnish the card base
  • add the Fresh Freesia foil strip to the left side of the card front
  • add the skinny Fresh Freesia strip to the middle of the foil strip
  • use Fresh Freesia ink to stamp the large open image onto the Fresh Freesia panel
  • color the leaves of the image you stamped using a Wink of Stella
  • attach the stamped panel to the card front using dimensionals centered top to bottom and about 3/4″ from the right side
  • stamp the sentiment onto the White rectangle using Fresh Freesia ink
  • layer the sentiment panel onto the Fresh Freesia foil rectangle
  • add the sentiment panel to the card front in the lower right hand corner – see photo above
