Anything Goes Saturday – antiquing wax
Hello everyone – It is hard to see today’s product on the image but the Anything Goes Saturday – antiquing wax idea was an interesting play.
Today’s product not only has some interesting characteristics it also gives your image a nice smell.
Today’s Project
I ran across this product stuffed in a drawer. I could not remember why I bought it or how to use it. I checked with a few people and googled it. Most of the info I found talked about how to use it on furniture to add age and protection. A friend finally told me you rub it on your image to add sheen and to protect it. I was going for the sheen idea with my project although you can’t really see it in the photos. I can see using this on dark cardstock you have embossed as it might show up more. I am also thinking it would be good for chalks and pearls to prevent them from smearing. Have you used it and if so how?
I used an embossing folder that had stencils to create my image panel. Then I added the wax on top. You have to let the wax dry at least an hour so this is not a product you use if you are in a hurry. To add some sparkle I used a silver ribbon.

I have used the Sweet Jasmine products many times. Here is a tag I made using it. I also used the embossing folder with a press plate that had similar flowers to make this background.
